Hedwig began as an off-Broadway stage show in 1998, later to be made into one of my favourite movies.
Hedwig will be played by "Australian indi rock icon" iOTA.
Personally I'd love to see this show. I hope it will be successful and begin a showing in Melbourne soon. If you are in Sydney, I'd strongly suggest seeing it. It couldn't possibly be a tenth as good as the movie or the original stage show, however any chance to see this show live shouldn't be passed up.
Although I have heard just how bad covers of the Hedwig songs can be. The sounds samples of the Wig In A Box tribute album on Amazon almost had me in tears.
