My left eyelid has been twitching on and off for the past couple of weeks and it's been driving me batsh*t.

So off to Google for a bit of fun and search for "eyelid flickering". I don't know why I chose "flickering" instead of "twitching", but I did.

The number one result returned for this is a poor suffering blogger who one day mentioned vaguely that his eyelid had been flickering:

Suddenly, this site became the Mecca for Eyelid Twitchers. I can only suppose that there is relatively little out there about it, or that more people link to my site than they do to sites all about Eyelid Twitching, so I rank higher in Google.

Feeling guilty the blogger updated the post with details of likely causes of the problem.
