I get why people (consumers) love it. I get why people (developers) hate it.
It's human laziness.
It's a big slap in the face to web developers. It says in massive writing for all to see, "client side stylesheets and customisation don't work."
Three steps and two bits of knowledge are too much. Consumers need one step and one step only. They need their hand held and they need someone sit down and read for them.
It's a pity. But completely 100% human.
It's that reason that people (developers) speak out against "the river". More work for them. Turn the stylesheet off for a news website and it should look like a "river". But it doesn't. Because the ads and browser hacks to make it pretty get in the way.
Personally I just hate that it has a name.
It just is.
You'll be doing me a massive favour if you go and vote for Faith No More.
