I remember seeing the CD single for Soundgarden's Rusty Cage and noticed a Johnny Cash version of the track.

From that day I've always assumed Rusty Cage was a cover of a Johnny Cash song.

Turns out Johnny Cash covered the Soundgarden song, not the other way around.

Whenever I think of bachelow chow I think either of some Futurama-esque wonder-product like Eukanuba for singles, or I think of instant noodles.

The inventor of instant noodles, Momofuku Ando, recently died and the internet nerd-fest of current-and-ex-bachelors has gone into mourning.

I can be fairly sure that besides toast products (with Vegemite or cheese), instant noodles would be one of the first things I ever cooked for myself. I've certainly eaten more than my fair share over the years.

My favourite is chicken flavour with sweet-chilli sauce. I've tried many a crazy recipe (mostly involving pepper) but that one is hard to beat.

These days I'm more partial to soup as a quick-lunch alternative to actual cooking. Spicy Capsicum. Nummy num nums.
