The coffee flavoured version of Coke introduced in the US and France mid 2006 is to be discontinued next year. Coca-Cola Black Cherry Vanilla! Also to be discontinued.

Dang it.

Treats from Home  #

After a tip off from Craig I was reminded of the shop Treats From Home on level 1 of 234 Collins Street. They import food from the UK.

I believe I have wandered up there before to find it closed.

Today it was open.

No Tic Tacs, and they have no plans to order them in, even after hitting them with full strength puppy dog eyes.

Rather than waste the trip, I splashed out $2.50 for a UK Cherry Coke. It was pretty good. I guess I've avoided cough medicine long enough to lose the instant association. It reminded me to research Coke Blak again...

UK Cherry Coke

I was vaguely interested in some of the Cadbury varieties they had but not enough to remember what they were. There was a lot of lollies discounted for being past it's best-by date. I wonder how well the place is doing.

I almost bought a White Crunch but decided it was just my desire for White Kit Kat kicking in and it couldn't possibly live up to that.

Meanwhile, the Kit Kat Chucky Snack Size (ie. smaller) was a bizarre concept if I ever saw one. I mean, Kit Kat Chunky are bigger. That's the point...

Preserving the web  #

Scripting News Dave blogs today about preserving ideas, or more specifically, where will your blog go when you die. And what can you do about it.

Every now and then the fragility of my technical life makes itself aware to me (via a broken backup or a full hard disk) and I think I should write down, on real world paper, some passwords and instructions of what to do with my blog / email / websites / domains should I not be able to tell anyone. Not to mention bank accounts.

But it's not an easy thing to keep up to date. As Dave says, "no one really likes to think about dying..."
