Portable Apps  #

Portable Apps is a set of useful software modified to be small and to run without the need for full installation. Perfect for keeping on a USB key/thumb drive. Includes Firefox, OpenOffice, FTP software, backup software, antivirus. All sorts of jazz.

I've been researching software I could use for my own portable "personal wiki". In the course of doing that I worked out my main problem wasn't the software, it was portability. Putting everything on my key solves this problem. There ain't nothing wrong with Notepad and the file system search.

Thanks to Dad for prompting my search for this software.

Now to solve the problem of my massive key chain...

When in doubt, cover it in black plastic and smother it to death.

I followed this useful advice in the garden yesterday, lining the side of our garage in weed matting. May grass never grow there again.

Meanwhile, I looked at the back fence with the intention of sanding it, but mowed the back lawn instead. Next week.

Last night we had dinner at Pancake Parlour for my birthday. Mexican Beef crepes followed by a Hot Ball all washed down with home made lemonade and Mountain Goat, followed by a cup-o-tea.

We still didn't clean up the house.
