The venue seemed less full tonight, probably three quarters full. A lot more room to move. We stood in the middle of the floor near the back. The band came on around 10:30 without Patton and started some violin solo (the start of Five Seconds), as they were reaching the start of the song Patton arrived to much applause. Last night Patton, Imani and Buttersctoch arrived arm in arm before the start of the set.
The setlist was similiar to last night but with enough differences to keep it interesting. They still played most of the album but swapped the order a little.
In the main set they played what might have been a new song ("a world exclusive"), swapped the order of the first few songs and swapped out "Get Up Punk" for "Preschool". Less crowd participation this time around but Patton looked extremely happy throughout the set, smiling constantly.
No Dub Trio solo set tonight (probably becaused they supported), instead DJ Quest did his set in the middle.
The encore was Imani Coppola's "Raindrops From The Sky (Hey Hey Hey)" with Patton offstage followed by General Patton's "Get Up Punk". No Lovage tonight.
The band left the stage and a lot of people left (about a quarter), the lights came up, and the band returned, followed by a crush of people sprinting back. Patton joked that "since we were gagging for it" they'd do another encore, playing cover "Across 110th Street".
A good night. Patton said they wouldn't be back for Christmas so I'm not expecting a Tomahawk tour soon. Pity...
