It seems this blog has been on American time since I moved. Oops.

I'm not actually sure I can easily fix it but I'll have a go on the weekend. In the mean time, just take a day or from my posting times or pretend I can see into the future (which is now... no... now!)

Dethklok are the band in the fictional animated TV series Metalocalypse. The show is mostly brilliant and highly recommended but the best part of the show is the music. The band are a death metal band and the songs are awesome.

To coincide with the DVD release of the first season, a full album of material has been released. A special bonus edition of the album with a bonus disc has also been released.

Unfortunately, despite pre-ordering the special edition at both Amazon and CDUniverse, both have said that it is "no longer available". A few people on the internetz appear to have it so it isn't vapour, but many more are wondering what happened. I've given in and ordered the regular edition.

The best excuses for it's unavailability so far are:

• Some kind of copyright issue forced it's withdrawal (the extra disc includes a bonus video for one of the songs)
• There weren't very many made and they sold out before they hit the stores

The second option seems fairly likely, with many saying this album will be the highest selling death metal album of this year. I'd believe it. When I ordered it at CD Universe it was their best selling CD.

I very very much look forward to receiving this CD, in whatever form I can get it. I believe I can at least get the bonus tracks from iTunes...

Update: And I've just been informed by Undercover News that Dethklok will be going on tour in the US soon. Whether they will be humans or humans-performing-behind-a-screen cartoons like Gorillaz hasn't been discussed. I wouldn't care either way. Another band to add to my wish list of bands to tour.
