Big Day Out lineup announcement 2:

New additions to BIG DAY OUT 2008: silverchair, Spoon, Augie March, Brand New, Regurgitator, Anti-Flag, Karnivool, Carl Cox, Pnau, Kate Nash, Josh Pyke, beXta, Shy Child, Gyroscope, Enter Shikari, Operator Please, Unkle (live), Goodwill, Krafty Kuts & MC Dynamite, Die! Die! Die!, The Nightwatchman (Tom Morello acoustic),Blue King Brown, Dr Octagon with Kutmaster Kurt, British India, Aceyalone, Krill

These acts join the already announced: Rage Against the Machine, Bjork, Grinspoon, Arcade Fire, Hilltop Hoods, Billy Bragg, Paul Kelly, LCD Soundsystem, Sarah Blasko, Faker, Midnight Juggernauts, Dizzee Rascal, Something With Numbers, Battles, Cut Off Your Hands.

I bought my tickets based entirely on Bjork and the bonus of seeing Rage Against The Machine.

I question the point in having multiple announcements when all the tickets are sold out, but I suppose they spend their time solidifying acts...

I'm particularly happy to see Regurgitator announced. It's not really a Big Day Out without Regurgitator.

But most exciting in the latest announcement is Enter Shikari. I've had a lot to say on this band but I haven't been able to distil it into a review yet. I can't wait to see them live, but I'll be keeping well away from the human pyramids.

Outside of that it'll be nice to ignore silverchair and watch another band with the two other people not watching. I quite like Unkle but I wonder how "live" they'll be, and I think Operator Please should be a barrel of laughs. They're drummer looks like he escaped the Brady Bunch or something.

I fully expect all four or five bands I actually want to see to play at the same time...

Only those that can count from 1 to 200 should attempt it...

If you wish to vote below the line, to avoid the dodgy preference deals of your preferred Senate representatives (I'm looking at you!), this list of each Senate group and what they stand for will surely help (via Damien).

Includes a brief (opinionated) description of what each group is, and a link to their website.
