Some at work were militantly against it (and many *air quotes* sports *air quotes*). Others were vaguely impressed by the fluid riding and awesome stacks. I liked it. Still not convinced by the asphalt corners though. Dirt all the way I say.
They've only televised the men's (that I've seen). No word on the women's yet.
* "Kamakazi"... as if changing his name to this wasn't stupid enough, he spelt it wrong. Though, searching on it in Google actually finds him rather than deliberately crashed planes, so maybe it was deliberate. I don't think he's doing the credibility of the sport any favours, but then, the media seem to love saying his name, so many he helped in getting it shown on TV as much as it has. How can I complain?
