We didn't figure that out until we tried to watch more last night, having watched episode 7 last week.
Darn.
What a great show.
Only recently, Tic Tac increased the amount of Tic Tacs in each box from 15 grams to 18 grams ("20% more product"), but kept the box size the same.
This time, the box is much bigger, and so are the mints. I'm not sure I approve of bigger mints. I'd rather they spent their time putting out different flavours. If I ran Tic Tac Australia they'd probably go broke very quickly.
And for comparison, the 29 gram USA "Big Pack" and the "Big Box" (49 gram).
They're just regular peppermint Tic Tacs but with a pink box.
Money from each sale presumably goes toward breast cancer research.
The pink box neatly explains why Grapefruit flavour wasn't in a pink box when it came out way back in 2005/2006.
I can't say much more except that I've always liked the Grapefruit flavour Tic Tacs and it goes well with Lime and Orange. And they're PINK! Awesome.
"Chill" is their latest new product, with two flavours: Paradise Mint and Exotic Cherry.
Neither tastes like regular Tic Tac equivalent. They both have a milder taste and a cooling effect. They're bigger than Tic Tacs, and softer.
The boxes are weird. So weird, Tic Tac felt the need to include a video on their website to show how to use them. They're bigger than regular Tic Tac boxes and have two openings. They have a sliding panel that opens up the front of the box, or the regular Tic Tac opening. The regular opening is buried under a sticker and I suspect it isn't really meant to be used. The sliding panel doesn't stay closed very well, which probably explains why this brand of Tic Tac comes wrapped in plastic.
Both taste great... perhaps better than real Tic Tacs. If these were in Australia, I'd buy them all the time. They're more mints than lolly, which is what Tic Tac was always supposed to be.
