Almost every darn song is beyond filthy. In a PG 1970s kind of way. I mean, one of their albums is called "Sloppy Seconds"... Who knew? My mum I suppose. Her violence in requesting their albums not be played is suddenly justified.
Tex Perkins' latest project is a cover band "taking the piss" out of 70s and 80s ballads. He says the following about Dr. Hook's "A Little Bit More" during an interview with Undercover:
"The opening line, 'When your body has had enough of me and you're laying flat out on the floor, when you think I've loved you all I can, I’m gonna love you a little bit more'"."Lets go through that again. "When your body had enough"... She's had enough, enough please. And she's laying 'flat out on the floor'. She's not even in the bed anymore, she's on the f**king floor. I don't imagine she is on the floor by choice. She's unconscious. Dr Hook has f**ked the s**t out of this woman. But No, no, no, I ain't done with you, I'm gonna love you a little bit more".
I saw an advert for Ladyboyz a while ago and thought it could be interesting. Tex is usually good. This interview has swung me all the way to wanting to check this out...
