The main reason I wanted one though was that I thought it would be easier to scan negatives than printed photos. Firstly, hopefully they would be less damaged and faded than my printed photos. Secondly, you could scan five at a time automatically (negatives tend to be cut into lots of five photos). Lastly, the scanner could line up the negative for you.
Well, today I noticed on zazz.com.au a USB negative scanner for $130. I'm sure I looked a few years back and they were well into the $300 mark.
I have already finished my photo scanning project of the family archive, but such a scanner could make scanning in my old personal photos much easier.
If I could be bothered...
Having the photos digitally would be nice. For backup purposes and for easier viewing and searching, but I'm struggling to think why I'd really need it... particularly as I haven't looked at these old photos in years and years.
But having them digitally would make it easier for me to look...
I'm 100% obsessed with digitisation. I need help.
I'm a huge fan of Mr. Bowie's more recent albums so I've been really looking forward to him returning to the studio. I can't wait!
