I went nuts and bought "Tetris Party" on WiiWare last night. It's a smooth process and very simple.

Little did I know that it is Tetris' 25 birthday.

The only irritation with the WiiShop is that WiiPoints can only be bought in either 1000 or 3000 lots. Tetris was 1200 points, so I had to get 3000 points (Aus$45). With the extra money I bought "World of Goo" which has had rave reviews and looks fun enough. I haven't played it yet.

I love the fact I can now turn on the Wii and play a game without putting in a disc. I don't know when it happened, but recently even the act of putting a DVD in a player is almost more effort than I'm willing to put up with these days.

Tetris Party is great. We've only tried the solo and vs. matches, we've yet to try any online features, but I think we'll be happy for a long time.

Simplicity is sometimes best.

Even better than killing zombies ("House Of The Dead: Overkill" is also awesome).
