Thom Yorke calls the death of the CD  #

Undercover reports that Radiohead will release songs as they record them because they can't stand doing albums any more.

That isn't exactly the "death of the CD". More the death of the album. It's a pity because of all the bands out there Radiohead were one of the few who actually still crafted albums rather than a collection of X songs that totalled about 78 minutes.

Still, I presume that once they have an album worth of songs they'll release a CD.

Chuck Mosley interviews  #

Rolling Stone: Including the note that it was originally Chuck that was going to sing with Patton on Reunited at their first gig, but he could not get a passport organised in time. So Roddy sang instead.

Cleveland Scene: Excellent interview which details the difficulties of getting the new solo album out and a decent where-has-Chuck-been summary. The only detail they get wrong is when Chuck left the band (mid 1988, not as the article says just after Introduce Yourself was released).

The Cleveland Scene interview also seems to confirm that the period Courtney Love was singing in the band crosses over with the period Chuck started singing in the band. It indicates Chuck sang when they played in LA and then joined for San Francisco gigs when they fired Courtney.

Interesting stuff... to me.
