Faith No More have been confirmed as headliners of Australian music festival Soundwave. Their website has been dead since last night, but Faith No More Gig Database has more info.

The Melbourne show is the 26th February (Saturday). I'm trying to decide if we'll head over to Adelaide for the 27th as well but I think we'll hold out in hope for a side-show instead.

As there has been zero info on how to get tickets beyond a cryptic "early bird" mention, I'm terrified we're going to miss out on tickets. Last year tickets were on sale through Ticketek and the website.

Soundwave is the "heavier" of the festivals so most bands are metal/rock. Other bands of interest in the bill are Anvil, Janes Addiction, Trivium, Eagles Of Death Metal, Meshuggah, Isis and Maximum The Hormone (who do the theme to Death Note). A huge number of bands I've never heard of so lots of potential for new discoveries.

We'd probably have gone anyway had FNM not been involved.
