An LP joins all the album tracks together into a playable (within iTunes) application which includes lyrics, images etc.
The iTunes LP is apparently made up mostly of fairly standard HTML and javascript code and could be easily duplicated.
I simply can't get excited by this. I know why they want to do it... to give the user the "album" experience... by why not just buy the friggin CD?
Meanwhile, "streaming" takes another leap in Australia with the announcement that mySpace will be launching mySpace Music in Australia, the first country outside of America to get the service.
Streaming doesn't excite me at all (I can't get streaming music outside of the "try" side of "try before you buy"). The predictions that streaming music is the "future" of the music experience fills me with dread.
I'm going to be one of those music freaks that pays a fortune for imported CDs when everyone else just streams it into their phoneyNetbookything for almost free.
Poor me.
Twice a year the same problem over and over and over again.
