I mused out loud last night that we needed a new one, and that I'd seen a nice looking one that held X number of CDs.
My wife (who is at least as much of a music lover as I am and who, before we moved in together and finally merged our collections, bought a lot of music and still prefers CDs over any other format) asked if we really needed it because "do we really know if they're even going to keep making CDs in the future?"
I wanted to hug my... our collection and shout No! while punching skywards. They'll always keep making CDs, I thought...
The shelf I was suggesting could hold 40% more than the one we have. What we have took 15 years to collect, but then, probably half of it was in the last five years or so.
Do I really expect to be buying anywhere near as many CDs in the next five years as I have in the past five?
Yes.
But will I be able to?
