Regurgitator announced recently in various interviews that they would not be releasing any more albums. Effective immediately they were going to release their tracks as they're finished online for free at their account on SoundCloud.

While initially announced as "free downloads of WAV/AIFF files" so far they've only allowed streaming.

Strangely I noticed their new EP "Distractions" in a cardboard single sleeve, wrapped in plastic, and sitting on the shelf at JB HiFi this week. So I bought it (being one who prefers my music on shiny plastic discs).

The initial Regurgitator interviews inferred that the only way to get their music was to go to their gigs and buy it there in "compilations", so seeing the CD in a regular store was a surprise.

I assume that the decision wasn't entirely theirs. Their record company (Valve) probably made the assumption that if you print it, they will buy. I look forward to seeing if this continues.

A continuous long string of new EPs from Regurgitator would be great.
