I figure if I blog about it it will make it happen, or at the very least, I'll look back at this post in the years to come and be embarrassed that I didn't make it happen.

I'm going to record some music again.

I have half a decade worth of ideas that never turned into "songs" which has prevented me from recording them. I've decided they don't need to be songs to record them. I'm going to make it a recording exercise and just get them on tape (or whatever the youngens call it these days).

This involves at the very least buying a new guitar amp with built in effects so I can practice this stuff with headphones and sans computer. Followed shortly by jamming with drummer. Meanwhile I'll be experimenting with vocal recording with a few friends who have put their hands up.

Last night I spent some time relearning some old riffs. It was, believe it or not, really fun.

I was going to release it under the "Approximate" name of my 90s demos, but it seems a band has since taken that name, so the idea now is to call the project after the name of the demo, which is to be... ?
