My favourite music venue used to be The Corner in Richmond. Since they've upgraded the roof garden, something about the place has changed. I blame a change in clientele. It used to be more of a nice band venue with a bit of a beer-soaked vibe. Now the vibe is more horrible drugs and yuppies. Hate it.

The East Brunswick Club has taken over as my favourite venue. It keeps the beer-soaked vibe and has put on some great shows including Secret Chiefs 3 and Regurgitator. I'm going to see metal band Absu there in January. It's also convenient to various friend's places.

I'm devastated to see it go.
