So went to watch The Wire Season 2, finally, and our DVDs were rotted. Never played, never to be played.
Luckily Warner Australia (who distribute HBO in Australia) have a replacement disc policy. Sent them the discs with an explanation letter (where did you buy it, how doesn't it play?) and they'll test it. I presume as long as it isn't covered in scratches (that is, obviously destroyed by you) they'll replace it.
We got our Wire Season 2 back today. Hooray!
