Leave around 11 and take the B300 to Benalla via Yea and the Kinglake National Park. [blogged]
I had thought driving such a distance would be very difficult (I don't like driving much) but we took it easy and it wasn't hard at all. Taking the back roads made it more interesting and the iRiver filled up with music on random helped a lot too.
Lake Eildon is empty.
We arrive at 4pm and meet the wedding party while checking in.
We walk to Bright to the brewery and have a sampler (5 drinks, usually 6 but they were out of their raspberry beer which looked VERY red in the photos). Lovely beer.
We walk along the river, then through town to the church where the wedding will be. We walk in just in time to accidental see the rehearsal. Lots of tears.
We catch up and have dinner with the wedding party (take away fish and chips from "Rock Salt" ? (I think), eating it in the park by the river. We all agree Bright reminds us of Warburton. We walk to IGA for ice-cream then catch a lift back to the hotel.
We order breakfast (in room) for 8am.

After breakfast and getting ready we drive up to Tower Hill Lookout (short drive up a steep dirt road to a lookout sitting under an electricity pylon.
I stupidly run up the fire road to get higher but underestimate it's steepness. I'm exhausted by the time I get to the top. No view. I gingerly make my way down. I'm tired for the rest of the day.
We visit the Old Tobacco Sheds which promise an "Amazing Shopping Adventure". They have antiques which are not quite amazing, but fun. It reminds us of the Moorooduc Old Wares antiques near Tyabb.
I discover my camera is broken but get it working for some final shots of some wasps that had taken up residence in an old light fitting.
We head back to town for petrol then think about another lookout but decide against it. We drive to Wandiligong coz it sounds funny but it's not. Nice though.
Drive back to the motel to relax a bit. We borrow D&J's camera for the wedding.
An hour before the wedding it pours with rain. Around 2.30 there is a HUGE lightning/thunder. The rain dies down a little but it rains throughout the ceremony.
The wedding is lovely, not as many tears as the practice.
A few of us head off to the only place in town open that early (everything opens at 6) for a quick dinner, then we head back to the motel for the reception.
Reception ROCKS. Fantastic speeches. Lots of beer without fear of having to stumble far to get home. Loved it. Lots of love in the room.

Wake up a bit seedy, but the bride and groom have arranged a fry-up just down the road.
We check out and head for free and fantastic BBQ breakfast.
We thank everyone, say our goodbyes and drive home via the Hume Freeway.
