Chocolate and Vodka has created an excellent set of graphs on sugar content of drinks including one which compares the amount of sugar in a drink with the number of cakes you could make with that sugar. A 500ml bottle of coke is 0.9 cakes. I presume a 600ml bottle (standard in Melbourne) is over 1 cake. You drink a bottle of coke, you're eating a whole cake.
Cakes per vessel:
So, it's time to stop. Every time I look at a can of Coke, I will see half a cake. Every time I stare down a nice box of tart Cranberry, I will see a whole cake. Cake is my yardstick of choice - I can resist cake. And if I can resist cake, I can resist Coke.
