I've been trying to remember some history on CD prices but I just can't. What I see now (> $20 is "expensive") feels normal. I can't remember the old normal.

I found an old post seven years ago that indicates my excitement that a CD I wanted (Metallica's Kill Em All) was under $20. Under $20, the old "cheap".

Meanwhile, someone at work yesterday says "who still buys CDs? When was the last time you bought a CD?" to which I answered "a few days ago, and a few days before that... I still buy heaps of CDs".

I'm now "weird".

I'll tell you what's "weird". That 2003 was seven years ago. That is weird.
